Take advantage of all of those pen thieves out there. Marketing with pens is tremendously effective. How many times have you found a pen in your purse and had no real idea where you got it from? I know in my house it happens a lot because my hubby tends to pick them up from many odd places. I especially love the pens when they have a website I can visit and see if it was somewhere I physically went or not.
I tend too keep pens a lot longer than business cards. I do have a special book for business cards I pick up, but the pens are always out where I can see them frequently.
Think about marketing your business with promotional products. You should be putting together your budget for next year, so make sure and add in promo items and reap the benefits of them remembering your business longer.
