Online work today?

15 November 2006 2 Comments

Hmm, doesn’t seem like it will happen today. I was really behind today from taking a day and a half off sick and then having a corporate wellness fair last Thursday. So I had to spend a lot of time on the phone today rescheduling all those cancelations and booking next week up.

Our computer at work has internet now on it. This is making my life so much easier. Before I’d have to go into the bosses office when he wasn’t having a meeting (not an easy task) and try to email my online clients. It wasn’t working at all! But today I got caught up on all the replies and the necessary workouts that needed to be sent out. Also got some nutrition programs rerun for those that wanted changes. Tomorrow I’m going to work on the new fitness evaluation program we have to play with. I’m so dang happy to have a computer there, with everything in one spot. I was doing a very poor job of getting on here after work and emailing my clients. It was just too late to be creative.

I did rewrite a couple of articles for BMW that I’ve had in a notebook for a few months. I’m condensing everything into one big 3-ring binder now. I have 3 or 4 spiral notebooks with half started or finished articles I’ve written. Time to organize them so I can get them on the sites. As I’m recopying them onto notebook paper I’m proofing them and finishing up the edges. They will now be ready to go right onto the site this weekend or next week. All extra side notes on the papers are also being taken care of. I’m a big doodler and have side notes everywhere in my notebooks. lol

Prioritizing has been a big help. My new priority is to get 5 new articles up on each site by the end of the month. I think if I stick to one major priority each week I will have it under control. I guess we’ll see that theory tested over the next few months.

My eyes actually lit up once I noticed how many transcription services have begun popping-up online. I’d been excited and ready to try out one to see if it was up to snuff, but my preliminary take on them has been that they’re a little “pricey” — anyone else got choices/ concepts for medical transcription services online or off?

Not medical transcription specific, but specialized work has a specialized price. If you want words spelled correctly then you need someone that works in the medical field specifically. In this case you will definitely get what you pay for. Going with someone super cheap will probably cause you to have to redo the document.

Check out my friends transcription on Easy WAHM Websites. If she can’t handle your request she may be able to point you in the right direction and price range.
