Negative Forums SUCK

I went back to a huge forum recently.  Huge as in really helps my links even when I’m not trying.  It has always been a negative place, but those links are just so good at times.  I need to rethink if the links and traffic are worth the headache.

Tonight I redid that.  I posted to twitter about a post without putting the actual post up.  BUT I did send by friends to it.   After 5 sweet posts asking for how things worked, I got tired of it and I was getting way too angry.  I’m not ignorant and just because I have under 100 posts on this forum doesn’t mean anything.   My posts and my sign up time only show such because I can’t get into my old account.  The site was sold a few years ago and I’ve never been able to get into my old account.  I’ve been a member there from just about the beginning and you can bet I was building websites while most on said forum were still trying to figure it out.  Meanwhile, I WAS BEING TAUGHT BY THOSE THAT TEACH AT YAHOO CONVENTIONS!!!

Yeah, I got pissed of course, I hate ignorance and I hate ignorance that is pushed towards others.  The funny thing was I never went off or got pissy while posting.  I was honestly asking questions and this person did nothing but put me down.  So I did a great thing and I stopped posting.  Not my norm, but I don’t have time to keep going somewhere so negative.  But yes, I did sick my friends on them.  lol

well, I know which forum you are talking about and I rarely go over there any more because there is too much ass kissing and favoritism going on with the moderators. They allow certain DS girls to post ads and specials in the DS dicussion forum but yet will delete others who post the same type of thing. I rarely post on that forum anymore as I am not an ass kisser.

Yeah, it has pretty much always been an ass kissing forum. And if you look at it, it’s really only about promoting your company. There isn’t any specific place to go for marketing, building your site, etc. So they aren’t really there to help anyone, just to push your opportunity.

ROFL ~ I’m pretty sure I know exactly what forum you’re talking about too and I haven’t been there in ages either. I can’t hate it, because it’s where I found my wahm roots and made those first connections that lasted a lifetime, but dang it all to hell if it didn’t get totally crappy on us and fail us a community.

Hi, I’m sorry that you had that bad experience. I really do feel for you and that is why I am commenting. But I wanted to let you know that I have created a new community for my website where I want woman like yourself who can go and talk with each other and help each other. I don’t want anyone spamming but I don’t see the harm in having a tagline and website address at the end of their posts. I hope you will join. It is very new so only 2 people at the moment. I haven’t really marketed it yet, but will be doing so soon. You can go to my website and at the top click on the community link.

Oh I have eleven years of experiences like this. It’s why this time I did a good job of not getting into the complaining on the post and sticking to trying to get actual information.

As soon as I saw your reply in my email it dawned on me that I didn’t balance this post out with a productive post. I will go and put up a post with some very helpful and friendly forums :) I’m off to check out yours.

Thank you for being an incredible commenter!
