Mommy’s Helper Community WAHM Forum
I started a post previously about forums, negative and then some of my favorites. I briefly touched on my 3 favorites and have now decided to put up a much better description of each of them and hopefully entice you to join us. lol
I’m going to start with my absolute favorite forums. Mommy’s Helper Community. I’ve been a regular posting member there since Sept of 2004. So working on 6 years now! Not only do I have a ton of posts and helpful replies, but I’ve made a ton of friends there. Some of us found each other from a negative forum and then also a forum that was very active and then became spammy. So it was awesome to all join in at Mommy’s Helper and have this positive place to hang out together again.
This forum is not just for direct sales or affiliate marketers. We touch on all of it and yes, we do welcome men to the group as well. But we really do hit on all of the above and more. We encourage you to bring your expertise and your questions. Everyone has something they are more knowledgeable about in business and we love to learn from each other.
One great thing about the groups is the spam is kept at a very low minimum and usually one of us deletes it before you can even report it. You can ask any business question and never be treated like you are an idiot AND if we can’t get you an immediate answer then usually Anita or I will go looking for answers for you.

Great description of MHC Val! One thing I can really boast about our forums is the friendliness and helpfulness of our members.
I have heard so many compliments over the years about how MHC has given them such a “warm” feeling.
I have talked with many who have simply given up on message boards because of
(1) what I like to call “vultures” – you know the ones that only come out when someone says: ‘I want to start my own home business’ and they’re simply bombarded by the vultures saying things like:
– ‘I have a great business – you should join me!’
– ‘I am super successful at my business – you can make a lot of money with my company’ (meanwhile they’ve only been with the company 2 months at best – 1 week at worst)
– ‘Do what you love! And be sure to check out everyone’s signature line’ (when of course, that’s just a directive to their own siggy’
It’s bad enough that these vultures do this … it’s even worse when this is the only time you hear from them. And here’s a shocker … our members actually recommend you join OTHER member’s business when it fits!
(2) Cattiness/Catfights/Downright Rude Members. I can honestly say I can count on one hand how many times a member has gotten “nasty” with another … and even those were quickly averted because it’s simply not tolerated.
(3) They never even heard a word from the owner. How many times have you visited a message board and never actually got a reply or read a post or reply by the board owner? Unfortunately, this happens all too often. We make sure everyone is responded to from introduction post on. And in the unlikely event you were missed – something went terribly astray and it was a complete oversight. (Then again the chances of you posting something that neither Val nor I respond to … are pretty much nill!)
I could go on and on … but more than likely … whatever the reason you gave up on message boards or don’t go back to a particular message board anymore … there’s a good chance you won’t find it at MHC. Very good chance – and if there’s something missing – you let us know! We take our member’s suggestions very seriously and read every single one of them! I mean we wouldn’t have message boards if it weren’t for our members!
Speaking of which … I also must point out that in no way can we take all the credit of having such a great forum … not in the least. It’s our members who make it great! We haven’t done anything special to attract these great people … it just sort of happened that way!
Seriously – many are simply amazed at the difference between MHC and your typical “Wahm” message board. It’s kind of given them new hope in networking on forums.
