I’m really big on lists. I love my lists. I have lists for short term goals, long term goals, lists for things each site needs completed, and of course the must do today list. I also have lists of the bills I have to pay and the bills that I want to start paying so that I can take some of the burden off the general family account. That leaves more money open for spending on some fun stuff in the family budget.
Some things you may be able to add into your monthly budget that I was excited to include are the phone bill (partial tax write-off because of the internet), cell phone bill (again tax write-off because it’s my business line), car insurance, and other smaller bills I can add here and there.
Put together the list of bills that you have to get paid right away with your income. This is your minimum goal for the month. Then as you start making that regularly, push the envelope so you can make the extra to add a new bill to your list. No this may not be every month that you can add a new one, but when you do add that extra bill to your list and earn it repeatedly, it feels wonderful!
