Goals for the year
Well we all have them and they need to be written down by now. Writing them down makes them much easier to follow through with. I’m going to post mine here so I can keep them in one place.
1. Prioritizing and staying focused are keys for me this year. This means setting smaller goals each week and planning out how I am going to complete them. Including when I will work on web stuff, not just taking it for granted that it will get done by the end of the week. I need to map it out. Gym from 8-noon, home to work on housework and websites, then gym from 4-8ish. This is how I would like to schedule my day and it seems to be working well for now.
2. Newsletters are my top priority this year. I’ve built up some good subscription lists and it’s time to make them work. I have set dates for when each newsletter has to go out and the last 2 months I have made those dates. I have also set up autoresponders for one site to go out weekly! Loving that option. Aweber has been a true time saver. I know I haven’t even gotten close to using all the great options it has on it now. I also loaded a free ebook to Busy Momma Wellness’s newsletter for subscribing. I plan on doing the same for Little Scrapbook Shop. I just have to put it into book format.
3. Staying focused has a lot to do with goal number 3. I am going to redesign Busy Momma Wellness so it is more friendly looking. When this happens I will hit each page hard with the SEO. If I concentrate on each page separately then it should go smoothly.
4. Articles, articles, articles. I have notebooks full of them and they need to get onto the web!
5. Organizing. I have to keep up with my piles. There is no reason that anything should be on my desk except for things that have to do with the current project. It isn’t bad by any means, but it can be much better! I have to keep up with it. Hmm, maybe I’ll choose Friday as desk cleaning day. Then anything that is still out won’t stay out all weekend.
6. Ebooks. I have a ton of ebooks that need to go up on the sites. I can’t keep purchasing them and then keeping them on my computer. DUH!
7. Advertising. I haven’t even gotten into a marketing plan for the year. This is normal for me. I really need to figure out a plan.
K, looks good for now. I’m sure I will come up with more. But for now these are tops.
