Good advice. IMO anyone contemplating giving up the day job to start an internet business should start it in their spare time. ( often hard to come by but where there is a will there is a way).

Very often it is not as easy as they think it is going to be. It can be a steep learning curve. I know many successful internet marketers who started out this way but you do need to have the qualities you describe.

Thanks for the article. Good list. I find distractions are not a problem, but staying motivated after some health problems has been difficult.

I would add goal setting to the list. Setting personal boundaries is important, but setting goals to accomplish is just as important. Without them, you really don’t have a clear sense of purpose.

When I see there’s a new update available to wordpress or some plugin, I immediately think of my blog security, because if you do not update on time, you risk to have open doors for hackers and then wake up with a broken blog.
