Cell Phones in the car

The new law went into effect in July, but I’m still not used to it. I believe that many states banned the use of hand held cell phones while driving and I do agree it’s a good idea. But I just can’t get used to it still!

I have a Bluetooth headset but it doesn’t have directions anymore and I haven’t figured out how to get it to sync. It’s supposed to be easy, but it won’t do it for me of course. It’s a matter of taking it to the Verizon store and just having them do it for me.

Why is this important to me? Driving was the time I got caught up on my phone calls. I returned my messages. No I didn’t open my planner and look up times to schedule appointments, I did pull over for that. But I got caught up a few times a day during my trips to class and the gym.

Right now I am constantly behind in messages and I hate it! I’ve yet to figure out a good plan for this. I listen to the messages pretty quickly in case it’s one of the kids trying to get ahold of me, but there are times I can’t call a potential client or someone about a site because I only have a minute or so.

I guess the best answer would be to actual set aside once a day to go over messages and call all of them. I’m sure 30 minutes a day would be well more than needed. M, W, Fri I could easily do right after my fitness classes. It’s nice and quiet in the room after classes is over and everyone goes home.
