Productive and Friendly Forums

Yikes, I dislike having such a negative post and thankfully I had some comments on it so it brought it to my attention. So this post is to counter that with some great forums to go check out!

I’ll also comment that I’ve been frequenting forums for over 9 years now. Sadly some major one’s that I learned the most from are so full of spam I won’t send anyone there any longer. But there are still some incredible forums out there that I am a part of and I’m more than happy to promote them!

Holding Back

It’s not easy for me to hold back. I have so many ideas, so many domain names waiting to be built on. It’s overwhelming. Hence, my big need to get rid of the dead weight right?

I have some sites with a lot of info built up on my computer behind the scenes ready to go. As my clients have needed questions answered I’ve done a good job of creating how-to documents. These will be used for filling up the next site that I’m just dieing to get up and running. But I’m being good and waiting. I can’t put them up until I get everything else in control and/or sold off. That’s my rules right now, no matter how much it’s driving me nuts. lol

Quick Tips #7

If you have clients or online projects you partner on, then using an online project organizing software is essential. I personally use Client Spot to stay organized with tasks to complete, time used on tasks and projects, shared files and emails.

I put my virtual assistant clients work in their own projects and also put up the work on my sites. Then when I want my VA to jump in on an assignment I just click her as the assigned person and it sends her an email.  Staying organized means getting more done.

Memory Sticks

I have a new business saver and I’m so happy they aren’t very expensive. Memory sticks and sd flash memory can bring so much comfort in the fact that you are not backed up and portable.

My printer is trying very hard to die. I am not ready to admit it, but I do think it needs a burial. It’s an awesome all-in-one HP office jet, but today it dawned on me it’s over 5 years old. It’s gotten a ton of use and I honestly have no idea the life span of a printer. I’ve never used one up before now. lol

A Swipe File?

Don’t Have a Swipe File? Here Are 3 Reasons Why You Should Get One

By Alice Seba, Teacher at Internet Marketing Copy Makeover

When I first heard someone say “swipe file” in regard to copywriting a few years back, I was horrified. If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s basically keeping a folder (printed or digital) of sales copy to refer to when crafting your own copy.

I know!

It seemed like people were suggesting that I keep a swipe file, so I could actually plagiarize the copy of others. It was totally shocking. But really, that is not the purpose of a swipe file. Keeping a swipe file is simply a learning opportunity to improve your own copywriting skills.
