Networking for Potential Customers

Feb 16th, 2008 | By Val | Category: Networking

Networking may be one of the oldest forms of advertising. Traditionally, business people would attend designated “networking meetings” where they would meet other people and exchange business cards in the hope that one of the people they talked to would send some clients their way. These groups still exist today and you can find them quit easily in your phone book or doing an online search.

I’ll be honest that I really didn’t understand what networks were as far as it pertained to the computers itself.  But now with a little, very little, research I see that this is something I should have done this Summer to save me time.

I use the little zipsticks to back up all my files and this is how I transfer everything between my computers.  But if I had them networked I could just share files.  This would be so much easier as I do not have my frontpage on my laptop, but I do write up some of the articles and page content on the laptop.  Many blog posts are pre-written as I come up with them and also my to-do lists are on my laptop.  I feel really silly sitting at the PC with my laptop next to me so I am literally working on two computers at the same time.  lol
