I double dog dare you to stop the facebook games. If you say there is no way I ever could, then obviously you don’t follow me on facebook. lol I can’t even go check into my games to tell you what level I am. But farmville’s around 90, cafeworld is over 100. I don’t think I’ve even been playing them for 2 years, no idea when I started. See, I told you there are issues.
I’ve talked to friends about how certain games seem to be a …

It never fails. As I sit and go over my yearly goals, a site will go under full revamping. Sometimes it’s just a design remodel, but sometimes it will be a full makeover of direction and design. This year is a full makeover year for Once a Week Cooking.
There are a few options out there for going the full route. I can do quite a bit of the work myself, pulling in help for things I’m not incredible at like web design. Or I can go with a full …

Here I am wanting to whip myself into shape by powering through some of my to do list this week and I’ve already ran into a major roadblock and distraction of my own doing. UGH, it’s Tuesday and I can not stay up late at night because of early mornings with the kids and adjusting to new schedules.
Going to the range and hanging out with hubby on Monday was just fine. Monday’s are not a day I hope to get much done online, I know this. But he …

We were sitting with the calendar last week figuring out what days hubby needs to take off. In case you didn’t know he’s a Fireman. In the last 4 years since he got hired on full time it’s thrown my business and personal life for a loop. In a good way, but still a constant adjustment. Up for sale this time is Search for VA.
I took over this site in 2008 and haven’t done anything with it except for change pages around a bit and get a new header.
The site is still in html (GASP). Everything can be converted to wordpress quite easily since it hasn’t been promoted. I …

With everything on my plate it’s been rough to get everything I want accomplished. Quite obvious to you readers as I haven’t been updating here as much as I used to. I think I may be getting to a point that I can outsource some more of my own tasks soon. Pretty exciting to think of that as some projects would be much more automated and less on my mind if I got them outsourced. Maybe I’ll work on that thought some more and put a list of projects together …

photo © 2006 noricum | more info (via: Wylio)A messy work area will significantly impede your productivity. If you can’t find an important file or even find a space for your laptop, you will waste valuable time looking for the file or just clearing off space. Worse still, clutter can be demoralizing and foster procrastination. Believe me I know, I’m the queen of procrastination and work hard to fight it. Fortunately, decluttering your desk is possible – in just a few simple steps. Get to cleaning now.
1) Manage your time. …

For those that may not know, I live in the South Puget Sound. Hence, I am under 20 miles from Seattle, however that translates to an hour commute with our awesome traffic and even longer depending on the direction and time of day.
But that aside, it’s always driven me nuts that I don’t know about any local big online events until the weekend of or after. WTF? I am not bragging when I say that I am a social media nut and I also include local media …
