Affiliate Marketing – What’s Stopping You?

Once upon at time, and it really wasn’t that long ago – I thought affiliate marketing was something for other people. People with big lists and massive websites. If you’re having similar thoughts, let me tell you now, it’s simply not true.

You don’t need to build a list first. You don’t need to have all the pieces of your business plan in place first. You can get started with affiliate marketing with very little. In affiliate marketing, it’s okay to start small.

Sometimes for those of us that have been online for a while, it’s hard to remember that there are many that don’t know what certain programs are. Heck, I know there are certain programs that I’ve heard about many times, but really don’t know what they are. Google adsense may be one of those programs you aren’t sure about. Hopefully this will help you understand it a little bit more and if it’s something you want to incorporate into your site(s).

Well I know I couldn’t be the only person out there that hasn’t made money on adsense.  I know there are many that have made a lot of money. To be fair I really haven’t done good research on it and my ad placements haven’t been the best in the past.  But honestly in two years my account is up to like $9.  lol  This way I should finally get a payout sometime in 2015 right?

If you sell products or services on the internet you should be giving strong consideration to starting an affiliate program. Don’t worry. It’s not nearly as intimidating as you might think.

Offering an affiliate program lets your competitors become your ecommerce allies. You both reach the same target market but perhaps you don’t offer the same exact products. By inviting them to become your affiliate, they can make a recommendation to their customers and visitors to check out what you have to offer – and earn a commission for their efforts if it turns into a sale.
