Smart Ways to Market Your Skills Online

As a service provider, online marketing is a necessary part of your business. Without it, you risk running out of customers and will lack the ability to grow your business. Unfortunately, many service providers are so busy providing their services that they overlook the crucial step of marketing.
While it’s understandable that it’s difficult to put the time in to market your business when you’re already so busy, it’s important to keep in mind that it is exactly this marketing that will help you stay in business.
Here are a …

Happy Turkey Day thumbnail

Happy Thanksgiving! I started a post about what I was thankful for on Mom Chats today and it’s spread to a few more of my blogs. lol I figured it was a great idea to focus on that positive thought in all aspects. Nothing like thinking up all the things that are going well in your life. Shouldn’t be done one day a year, that’s for sure
So these are some things I’m thankful for with my business.
** I’m thankful for my online friends …

Life Tosses Roadblocks

Here I am wanting to whip myself into shape by powering through some of my to do list this week and I’ve already ran into a major roadblock and distraction of my own doing. UGH, it’s Tuesday and I can not stay up late at night because of early mornings with the kids and adjusting to new schedules.
Going to the range and hanging out with hubby on Monday was just fine. Monday’s are not a day I hope to get much done online, I know this. But he …

Goal of More Automation

We were sitting with the calendar last week figuring out what days hubby needs to take off.  In case you didn’t know he’s a Fireman. In the last 4 years since he got hired on full time it’s thrown my business and personal life for a loop. In a good way, but still a constant adjustment. Each summer I’m learning that I will have less and less time to work on business. This also has to do with the kids being teens and wanting to spend …

Surprising Site Redesign

Well I knew it was coming up of course and I’ve known I needed to do it.  But I was surprised by how much of it I got done today and how things were flowing on Once a Week Cooking on a Sunday. I’m still not completely done with it (is a site ever done?) but it’s coming along quite nicely now. Then some major tweaking on delivery format will be next.
This all started getting pushed ahead because a friend needed help so I had her design a …

SearchforVA.com for sale

Yes, I’m decluttering again and I think I’m doing a great job of it myself.  It’s not easy, but I swear each time I put sites and domains up for sale it gets easier.
Up for sale this time is Search for VA.
I took over this site in 2008 and haven’t done anything with it except for change pages around a bit and get a new header.
The site is still in html (GASP). Everything can be converted to wordpress quite easily since it hasn’t been promoted. I …

Letting Go is Hard

With everything on my plate it’s been rough to get everything I want accomplished.  Quite obvious to you readers as I haven’t been updating here as much as I used to.  I think I may be getting to a point that I can outsource some more of my own tasks soon.  Pretty exciting to think of that as some projects would be much more automated and less on my mind if I got them outsourced.  Maybe I’ll work on that thought some more and put a list of projects together …
