Using your VA

Alright, I have a VA and I am now outsourcing. I have been friends with my VA for years, she is actually a biz partner on Mom Chat’s. I say this because it is obvious that I do not have any trust issues. We have a joint paypal account for goodness sakes and she has just about every log in I own. Again, I must say, we’ve been friends for a few years so don’t go thinking this is a good idea to do with just anyone.
Now that said I am not using her to her potential for my outsourcing. Sometimes I will finish a project and then get really angry with myself. I just wasted time on something I didn’t want to do and could have had her do for me. ARGHHH!
I have a problem with control issues and also with worrying about asking too much of people I think. For one thing and this is the minor part, I am worried about I will just hammer her to death with directions. I have worries about offending.
But my main thing is giving up control. Why is that so difficult? Good grief, go get a colon cleanse and just pass on the work! In my head, I know that she will actually finish many of the projects better than I will. She has different skills and different likes. Things I don’t like or want to do, come natural for her. It is a great fit. But alas, I have to give her the work in order for her to do that. lol
So that is my new goal. I want to send 5 hours of work EVERY month to her. That is the minimum. When she does work for me I get more projects done. That is the bottom line, get projects done!

Woohoo for getting things done!
